I would have deleted several scenes, but I liked the War Room movie. A lot.  I especially liked Priscilla Shirer in it. I don’t know that any other actress could play that part so well. And I have appreciated the movies the Kendrick brothers have made (Facing The Giants, Fireproof, Courageous).

Yet,  I can’t recommend War Room, which has many good things in it, because of the contemplative history of Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore.

Some of my writing/research has been combined with the writing/research of the Lighthouse Trails Editors, and the result is this Booklet Tract, Beth Moore & Priscilla Shirer – Their History of Contemplative Prayer and Why War Room Should Not Have Used Them.

If you are unfamiliar with contemplative prayer, and liked the movie, you will be angry. If you understand what contemplative prayer is doing to the church, you’ll understand why this had to be written.
